JOIN US ON TUESDAY, Jan 15 at 7PM - at the beautiful LAKE THEATER - in the heart of Lake Oswego!
As usual, we give the singers the theme and
they come up with a set to satisfy it; cabaret style.
This month celebrates five of Portland's professional level singers
who are willing to pop their cabaret cherry right in front of us.
That sounds so dirty…sorry, guys.
It's a family show...please don't worry.
Darcy will be on stage - making sure everyone behaves themselves.
Josh Killingsworth - Guest Host
We are excited to have our “OG Newbie” from last year’s Newbie show join us this month to guest host New Year Newbie! This talented tenor is a performer, voice teacher, vocal coach, arranger, and owner of A Rose and a Song Singing Telegrams in Portland, Oregon and performs in any style with authenticity. Josh received a full-ride scholarship to study opera, and another for vocal jazz. (Impressed? You should be.)
Coming from a musical family, his love of music was evident at a young age. His study of music has taken him all over the U.S. and across the globe. Josh feels fortunate to be able to satisfy his passion for performing as well as for sharing his love of music through teaching and directing. He teaches many talented students at his vocal studio on SE Hawthorne Ave as well as at local high schools. For more info on Josh, visit joshkillingsworth.com
Our Guest Performers
You may recognize Lizzie as the awesome Cocktail Goddess behind the bar serving you drinks at Lake Theater and Cafe. When we heard Lizzie could sing, we begged her to jump over that bar and join us on the stage and she said YES!
Lizzie has had a passion for performance since birth. She started off singing Barney songs and dancing on coffee tables with her twin sister. Once she developed a better range and a few more dance moves, she decided to take her career as a performer a bit more seriously.
Although she started out primarily singing and dancing, after entering high school acting became her art of choice. Lizzie studied Psychology and Theater Arts at Dickinson College and is now pursuing a career as a film actor in the Portland area.
She is incredibly excited to be a part of Cabaret White!
This Camas, WA native was born to perform and sings like a dream. Clayton is a high school junior at Camas High School and is thrilled to be making his Cabaret White debut!
Notable roles have been Lord Pinkelton in Cinderella (CHS; 5th Avenue Award Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Featured Role), Herb in Junie B. Jones (Oregon Children’s Theater), Louden/LeBret in the world premiere of John Hughes High: The 1980s Teen Musical (Staged!), and The Man in the Yellow Suit in the regional premiere of Tuck Everlasting (Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute)
Enjoy the show!
Amelia is thrillifyed to be joining Cabaret White for her cabaret debut!
Most recently, Amelia has performed with the Modern Prometheans in Good to be Bad. Previously, you may have seen her in the women’s chorus of Light in the Piazza, Pirates of Penzance, and Ruddigore with Mock’s Crest Productions; or in Lysistrata with Rose City Shakespeare Company.
Amelia has studied vocal performance in Mondavio, Italy as part of the Music in the Marche program and at the University of Portland, where she graduated in 2015. She currently cantors at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in SE and daylights as a project coordinator at a local construction company.
Amelia would like to thank her friends and family for all their love and support. She would also like to thank you for coming to see the show today. Enjoy!
Caitlin is thrilled to be making her cabaret debut with the brilliant Darcy White!
Though she's usually a musical theatre performer, her two small kids keep her off the stage more often than not: she most recently appeared as Sarah in Company with Broadway Rose during Snowpocalypse 2017. Favorite roles include Sydney in Superman (Lakewood Lost Treasures), Molly in One Touch of Venus (Lakewood), the tap-dancing prison matron in Hairspray (New Century Players), and Kathleen in Find Me Beside You (Many Hats Collaboration).
Caitlin is an HR director by day, and she moonlights as an occasional blogger, lawyer, and trail runner. Thanks to her amazing wife and kids for letting her sneak away to the cabaret!
